yesterday , 05.11.04 i recieved my new memory,, 1 gig!!( 2x512 MB/elixier ddr 400mhz)
first thing i made: put it into the system.
win xp didn´t start, a big changing the rams from slot to slot with leaving one outside, i was able to start win xp again, but not for very long, always restarting. then error config.com was damaged, can´t be fixed by windows itself, so i went to reinstall win xp, doesn´t work, some files were damaged or can´t be copied, i tried win 2000, same effect, some format c followed, no effect. then i took win 98 out of the dust, now i was able to start fdisk, i deleted 1st hdd partitions and tried to install xp, didn´t work, win 2000 same. then i tried win 98, it worked 1st, i came to faormating and fdisk said again , i have to partitionate, i said yes, guess what...........
it deleted my partitions on 2nd hdd, all datas are gone...!!ALL!!, finally win98 doesn´t start copying any datas from cdrom. so i took out new memory and tried old memory, works now, but i have a blank os on my pc, no internet installed or any prog or driver. i need time to get all the things together again. now i make a plan how i style my datas on hdd, means i build 200 new folders for downloads by a logical system, maybe it helps me to find all things back when i need them.
so u know that i am away for some days from sof, from work i come to forum now and then,
from november 15th i will have t-dsl 2000 and i´ll get my wireless router
if anyone has a wireless-lan-cable for me let me know
